Tour Description
Day 1: Arrival in Istanbul and transfer to the hotel. Various Istanbul activities can be done according to your arrival time.(Extra) Overnight at our hotel (D)
Day 2: You will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to the historical peninsula.
The first thing that welcomes us here is the Byzantine Hippodrome, which is known to have hosted bloody events, various meetings and lion fights throughout history. After seeing the Obelisk, the Egyptian Obelisk and the Serpent Column in the Hippodrome area, we will visit the German Fountain under the famous plane tree where the opponents of the künkar, known as Vakvakiye in history, were executed by hanging.
Immediately afterwards, we will visit the Sultan Ahmet Mosque, known for its uniquely beautiful blue tiles, built with six minarets despite Sultan Ahmet I’s request for a golden dome and neighboring Hagia Sophia for more than 400 years.
After having lunch at our restaurant where you can choose Ottoman cuisine or fast food,
We visit Hagia Sophia, which means “sacred wisdom”, which has been the largest structure in the world after the Egyptian pyramids for a thousand years, and has survived dozens of earthquakes and hundreds of invasions. The peace you will feel while inside and the mystery it awakens in you are emotions you must experience.
As the last stop of the day, we visit the Egyptian Bazaar, where the whole world is at our fingertips, where hundreds of spices and local foods coexist, accompanied by the scents of cinnamon and thyme, and we do our shopping.
Dinner at our hotel (B,L,D)
Day 3
After breakfast, we move to the historical peninsula to continue where we left off.
Our first stop is Topkapi Palace, which served as both home and administrative center for the Ottoman dynasty for centuries, and was the center of attention for artists, historians, architects, painters and even thieves. Here, we will see the Harem apartment (Extra), which preserves its mystery, the priceless spoon diamond and the Topkapı dagger, where prophet relics, which are considered sacred in Islam, are exhibited, and various sections where we can understand the living conditions in the Ottoman Empire from the kitchen culture.
After having lunch in our restaurant where you can choose Ottoman cuisine or fast food,
We will make our Bosphorus Tour, where you can see the mansions, palaces and structures of unique beauty between the continents of Europe and Asia, where you can closely examine the bridges, which are the pearls of the Bosphorus, and see the city walls of thousands of years.
After getting off the boat, we will have the opportunity to shop at the Grand Bazaar, which has been the intersection point of the silk road throughout history and even today is the largest and most diverse product of Istanbul.(B,L)
You will be transferred to the airport at your flight time.
